We would like to thank the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture and Food for the opportunity to present GlasPort Bio and our technology.
We greatly appreciated the constructive engagement from Committee members and, in particular, the high level of knowledge reflected in the questions and discussion.
The session provided an important opportunity to discuss the role that science, innovation and practical technologies can play in helping Irish agriculture reduce emissions while protecting farm productivity and competitiveness.
Crucially, if proven emissions-reduction technologies are to be adopted at scale, the cost burden cannot fall solely on farmers. Policy must provide appropriate mechanisms to share that cost, alongside a clear and proportionate regulatory pathway that enables new technologies to be independently validated, recognised and deployed with confidence.
At GlasPort Bio, we believe Ireland has a real opportunity to lead in this area by supporting technologies that can deliver measurable and verifiable emissions reductions at farm level.
We look forward to continuing the engagement with policymakers, industry and farmers as we work to support a more sustainable and competitive future for Irish agriculture.
