GlasPort Bio: €2.8 million in DTIF funding - NutriLoop Project

GlasPort Bio, along with Devenish RD&I Ltd., University of Galway and University College Cork, have been awarded €2.8 million under the fourth round of the Irish Government’s Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF).

The successful project is entitled: NutriLoop: Closed-loop, whole cycle approach to reducing the carbon footprint of livestock and will run for 36-months. The project aims to deliver a novel paradigm of livestock management demonstrating a sustainable means of pig production in a resource-efficient, low-carbon manner. This shall act as a model for other livestock sectors e.g. dairy, beef, greatly enhancing the impact of this project across the entire agricultural sector.
