
Dr Dermot Hughes
Engineering Lead
Dermot is the Engineering Lead for GlasPort Bio, and through his 10 years’ experience in academic and industrial research, he brings a proven track record in the scale-up and commercialisation of environmental technologies.
Dermot’s most recent previous role was as Technical Manager with NVP Energy, a low-temperature anaerobic digestion technology provider. He brings this experience to GlasPort Bio where he will be responsible for the scaled-up design and application of GlasPort Bio’s technology.
Dermot received a 1st class honours degree in Environmental Science, and PhD from the University of Galway.
